The text derives from the so-called 'Mödruvallabók', a vellum codex ... from the fourteenth century ... "Hen-Thorir (Haensa-Thóris saga) survives only in post-medieval paper manuscripts. The translation here is based on Sigurdur Nordal's edition in Íslenzk Fornrit (Vol.3, Reykjavík, 1938)' - Introduction.
