In 1902 the magazine "Documents of modern applied arts" was introduced for the first time. It was published until 1908, comprising five series divided by content which included furniture, metal, glass, ceramics, jewelry and textiles; the series were chiefly illustrated. Because of the small circle of subscribers the 'Documents' remained widely unknown. However, they are a unique art nouveau resource, presenting famous as well as less well-known designers and manufacturers, and also presenting unknown works by famous artists.
