Descriptive Notes

"Commissioned for GENERATION: 25 years of Contemporary Art in Scotland, a partnership between the National Galleries of Scotland, Glasgow Life and Creative Scotland. Generation is part of Culture 2014, the Glasgow Cultural Programme."--Colophon.
"This book is part of New Weather Coming, a project by Glasgow-based artist Jacqueline Donachie. Responding to a tour of Scotland using public transport in the early months of 2014, and a lifetime of family holidays without a car, New Weather Coming refers poetically to the experiences and encounters that take place on such journeys, journeys so different in intent and expectation than those taken by commuters. Between July and September 2014 copies of the book will be distributed on selected trains, ferries, buses and planes on routes that lead to: Ayr, The Isle of Bute, The Rosneath Peninsula, Mull, Skye, Lewis, Orkney, Shetland and places in between, including Arbroath, Aberdeen and Inverness. The book also connects three itinerant sculptures, which you may encounter, installed at different locations on these routes throughout the summer."--Colophon.
Limited edition of 6000.
